They don't have to be that modern, just sometime after the Art Deco period.

DISH TOO HIGH FOR AROMA BURN

Review Date: November 18, 2007
Reviewer: HOT MIX, Southwest Desert
There was no aroma when using this burner, for the dish is too far from the wick in the tea light. However, when I used a two-hour tea light with a big flame, it was fine. But I ended up on 7-hour tea lights made with soy, and it was a slow burn so I could not use these burners. I liked the slow burn better as the water didn't keep evaporating [and if you forget to fill the dish in this burner it will BREAK when you put new water in.] I ended up on the droplet burner (Amazon) and it works just fine with the 7-hour tea lights and the water decreases very slowly for the seven hour span.

Product Description

"Like Maxim, but about Xbox!" was clearly the mandate given to Mike Salmon, former editor-in-chief of PC Accelerator and current editor-in-chief of The Official Xbox Magazine. He got it half right: this gamer lifestyle magazine has the locker-room feel of Maxim but lacks Maxim's intelligent, tongue-in-cheek style. The result is something that looks like it was written by high-school sophomores. For example, a bio of Kasumi, a character in the game Dead or Alive 3, reads "A redhead with a difference--she can take on all comers. And if DoA 3 has the "[breast] bounce on/off" option, she'll definitely have a lot of comers." On the plus side, the game reviews and previews are informative and mostly free of bull. --Mike Fehlauer

great magazine + DVD

Review Date: March 10, 2010
Reviewer: twztid13,
ordered on 2-06-10 and got first issue on 3-12-10. it DOES come with the DVD (for those of you worried, like i was, from reading old reviews). if you have an xbox360, you can't go wrong with this mag. the DVDs usually come with themes or avatar items & the magazine is really good (a no brainer if you catch it in the gold box for 12$/yr like i did). also, if you dont have xbox LIVE gold, or a high speed internet connection, this would really be a solid purchase for the DVDs alone (for all the videos & demos they put on the disc - i just look at the magazine as a HUGE bonus).
Disappointed that two year subscription is only 22 months

Review Date: March 7, 2010
Reviewer: Barbara Mccray, Fort Bragg, CA United States
After renewing my husband's subscription to XBOX magazine, I went to their website to see if it was now shown as extended for 2 years.
Unfortunately, it was only extended for 22 months since they say that since there are 13 issues a year that 24 issues covers only 22 months.
Amazon is still showing 24 months and 24 issues so it is best to once again read the small print so that another large company doesn't try to change the terms of your contract with them. If like many magazines, it posted that it gave you a different than expected number of issues per year, then there would be no unpleasant surprise.
But XBOX magazine goes to some trouble on their website to tell you 24 ISSUES or 12 ISSUES and never mentions what time period that covers.

It is so rare in these times to get what you pay for and not have to settle for slightly less or not what you expect. So Microsoft and XBOX magazine go to right into the list of companies who sell you their advertising in the form of a magazine and then are too cheap to give you a full two years.
Xbox Magazine is a great magazine!

As always, Xbox Magazine provides die-hard gamers with all the tips, tricks, reviews, etc. needed to stay current. And having it delivered right to my door makes it all the sweeter!

Good if you want to know what is coming out. Good if your the one that waits in line for Midnight Madness. Good if you're a hardcore gamer or interested in game design. Other than that, forget about it.
