Product Description

Taking its cue from the design revolution of the 1920's and 1930's, Ricci's Art Deco flatware elevates an industrial look to fine art. This five-piece hostess set showcases oversized, square-edged handles with cleanly layered lines that recall the powerful silhouettes of the Chrysler Building or Empire State Building in New York. The decoration is continued on both sides for a elegant, seamless presentation, and a glowing mirror finish adds a cool, modern glow. Well-proportioned working ends balance the pieces with strong, heavyweight shapes in European sizing. An instant classic, Art Deco has one three International Table Top awards.

This handsome addition to Art Deco place settings includes a serving spoon, a pierced serving spoon, a serving fork, a butter spreader, and sugar spoon. Crafted of 18/10 stainless steel--with 18 percent chrome for corrosion-resistance and 10 percent nickel for a silver-like luster--the hostess set looks strong and competent in an urban loft or any modern decor. All pieces go safely into the dishwasher and will maintain their radiance for years to come without polishing. --Kara Karll

Red & White : American Redwork Quilts & Patterns (Volumes 1 & 2)

Review

""Red & White..." is a testimonial to the prodigious research conducted by author Deborah Harding. This excellent book's publication, occurring during a time of ever-increasing fascination with the old time needleart redwork, will be welcomed by many, including quiltmakers, quilt historians, quilt collectors, textile experts, appraisers, antique dealers, art historians, and designers." --Cuesta Benberry
""Red & White..." is the first book to explore redwork quilts in a systematic manner. This book is a must for anyone specifically interested in American quilt history and more generally in American textile history and culture." --Lee Kogan, Museum of American Folk Art, New York
"As one who loves embroidery, I have discovered that Deborah Harding's" Red & White" is a treasure! Each of the 100 actual-size patterns is its own little piece of Americana-and all it takes to recreate them is one basic stitch." --Julie Nixon Eisenhower
"At last-a fascinating book that explores the patterns, sources, and methods of creating those enchanting, figural redwork embroidery quilts. How helpful to have such a delightfully written and comprehensive reference work for this increasingly popular collecting area." --Laura Fisher, Antique Quilts & Americana, New York

Product Description
Red & White: American Redwork Quilts and Patterns is the most comprehensive look at redwork available. Redwork, a type of needlework popular during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, is once again the hottest trend in the quilting world. In this two-volume, heavily-illustrated work, best-selling author Deborah Harding traces pattern sources and design inspirations for antique quilts with original catalog offers and period advertisements to help collectors identify, date, and document their own quilts. Blocks on twenty antique quilts are analyzed in detail. In the accompanying pattern book, 100 actual-size patterns and detailed instructions enable readers to create their own redwork quilts and linens.

Just repeats the same articles every month

You will think this is a good magazine the first couple of times you read t and then it will start to occur to you that you are reading the same thing over and over. The articles are repackaged but it is just the same stuff. This is quite common with Rodale magazines.
Misleading

The magazine title should be changed to " Bicycle Racing " . I was hoping for articles about ordinary people bicycling for pleasure or exercise. Or bicycle camping, touring, etc. Instead it was 100% racing. Also I received 3 months of the magazine in 1 week. In summary, it was not what I was looking forward to.
What to read when you're between bike rides...

Bicycling is simply put a great magazine. Whether you love to race bikes or you commute to work on your bike or run errands on your bike or just pedal around the neighborhood, Bicycling has something for you. It's well rounded with its coverage. Being a somewhat casual rider, I wasn't really interesting in bicycling racing but since I became a subscriber, I'm finding myself following the various races. And on top of having a terrific magazine, Bicycling has a top notch website with loads of bike info. For the bike enthusiast, this is definitely a worthwhile subscription.

A lot of the slams against "BUY-Cycling" come from people who remember it back in the late 70s, when it was part of the Runner's World empire. Not very slick or pretty, but lots of great articles about maintaining your bike and relatively-unbiased product reviews. Oh, and not a lot of ads either. That worked, back in the day. Not anymore. Like nearly all magazines, they're dependent upon advertising revenue, so you're bombarded with slick ads for expensive bikes that you might have no interest in. Big deal, that's what pays the bills to keep it alive. Bicycling remains a source of interesting articles about mainstream cycling, and they do a great job during the Tour de France with their website.

But Bicycling Magazine is weak on advocacy issues, and it should have been them, not an individual user, heading up the Facebook crusade against outrageous bike fees charged by airlines ([...]). Nor did they have a visible presence at the annual DC Bicycle Summit, the big lobbying event put on by the League of American Bicyclists. Lots of room for improvement. Just don't put them down because they're slick & glossy. That's not a crime these days, it's a requirement.

its a grey top with a really cute light pink and white hello kitty in the middle? oh and im wearing it with bluey greyish skinny jeans?
im 19 by the way :)

I'm 19 and I'm looking for a sexy/cute Betty Boop costume.
I don't like the wal-mart costume or the costume sets online.. They're kinda tacky. I went to marshalls, TJ Maxx and the thrift stores and had no luck. Any ideas? I'm looking for something cheap....
