IKEA is pretty good
I had the same thought approx. 2 years ago. The best way to deal with this was to look for neutral colors and designs that would suit any room at home. I began doing work of my own, and selling it for very reasonable prices when compared to similar works of art.

This is not actually Art Deco, but blends well with Art Deco furnishings. I browsed the heating and cooling sections at the hardware store and found some cool heat duct fittings that I made into hanging lamps. Also found perforated stainless utensil containers that I made into table lamps. Lowes and Home Depot sell lamp kits with everything you need to make a lamp from scratch. It’s fun and easy if you are handy at all! Would be great for a basement family room and such.
E-Bay
