Two weeks ago I saw a middle aged woman with a Betty Boop steering wheel cover, seat covers, dolls, pillows, and a blanket in her car. I found it really sad that a woman that old collects such childish memorabilia. Instead of spending her money on that stuff, she should have been saving for a better car.

I'm located in the Kansas City area and my girlfriend and I are shopping for engagement rings. She wants something that is antique, and we are struggling to find good antique jewelers in the area. We've mostly run across pawn shops and antique stores that have a few pieces of jewelry. We're hoping to find a store that specializes in antique jewelry and has a good selection of antique engagement rings. She likes that art deco/filigree look, and it's tough to find stores that carry it.
We're willing to travel a few hours if necessary, if there is a good store that has lots of antique jewelry. After all, you only get to go through this process one time, so why not have some fun with it?
Does anyone within a few hours of KC know of a good place? If so, any information on the store would be great appreciated.
