This is from a frieze above the proscenium in an old art deco theatre. It is carved, and the figure is a male, you are looking at it from the right side and he is facing right, lunging forward on his left side. He is holding a short sword in his right hand above and behind his head pointing backward (parallel to the ground), and a round shield in his left hand which he is holding at his side (in front of him) parallel to his body and perpendicular to the ground. He is wearing a cape that seems to split on the sides and the split portion on his left side at the bottom hem of it it looks sort of like a bird's head. He wears something on his head with a strap under his chin. He is very muscular, and he is standing on rough terrain. The theatre owner says they think it's a roman god but I can't find anything that closely resembles it yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
