is it best with hdmi or optical

Just opened it tonight. Plays a CD just fine. Tried 4 different DVD's with no luck. The player doesn't think they're there. Been through the manual, through their web site. Nothing. Any suggestions?
Everything's Region 1 / U.S. / whatever. I have another Region 1 player that plays them just fine.
I chose DVD's from different sources, all of which I own and have previously watched on another player. Only one is from Sony.

When I was a kid, me and my sisiter had this red record player called "Robot Tunes". I think it may have been from Fisher Price, but I cant seem to find it ANYWHERE. Not online, not in vintage toystores, or ebay.

Anyone ever hear of this or know where I might find one?

FP3 Player made by Fisher Price ?

We bought my little cousin (3) one of those FP3 Players made by Fisher Price. It's like an iPod for preschools. My mom wants me to put a couple songs on it so when she opens it up it is ready to play with. The only problem with that is, if I have it set up on my computer, is it possible for them to then have it working from their computer? I know that the songs I put on there will be lost, but that doesn't really matter.... Help?

Good old days!!!
Remember that?
I hope all of you mad bastards have a great w/end!
Ladies: you too.

I've loaded music to the player and it plays, but there are stories that kinda automatically load on to the player but the software keeps saying that the stories are corrupt and will not load, a pop up it ask's if I want to recreate the playlist, I click yes but it pops up again and again. The player will play the music but if you press the story button it will freeze the player up, you can't even turn it off. I've tried reinstalling the software, it didn't work and the 1-800 number is too busy to help.

my sister has a fp3 player, and i have some songs off of mp3raid.com, and i need to put them on there how do i do so. PLEASE HELP
