If you have an external hard drive and want another operating system installed and running on it, now you can! I show how you can install Mac OS X Snow Leopard on an external hard drive and boot-up right from the OS. I am demonstrating it on FireWire 800, but this can also work on FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 as well. If you have any concerns or problems, leave a comment below and I will be glad to help! Enjoy! This video will guide you in the replacement of the hard drive on a Apple 17″ Pre-iSight iMac G5 Computer. Once the hard drive is replaced you will need to format the drive by going to the disk utility and formatting the drive as Mac OSx Journaled, if it is to be your bootable drive. You will also need to transfer your old data, if desired. This video was edited and produced on the same iMac, after having it’s hard drive replaced.
In this video, I will show you how you can install OSX Leopard or Snow Leopard on an external HDD, and then boot into it. In this video, I will be using a FireWire 800 HDD, but you can use a variety of devices such as a USB HDD, a standard Flash Drive, a SD card, or even an iPod. For best results, use a FireWire 800 HDD.
A video blog about my 24 inch iMac’s 750gb hard drive failure. The drive span down while active and upon running the tech tool deluxe diagnostic utility the surface scan found 1 error. The following message occurred: Media defects cause this test to fail. You should consider backing up the device, reformatting the media, replacing the data, and then testing again.
The Bubble Sleeve from Hard Candy ($49.95 in Black, Pink, or Green) is an interested protective case for the Apple iPad. The exterior features large bubbles for which the case gets its name. On the inside, the case features four shock absorbing rubber bumpers for the iPad corners. Facing the iPad screen, the interior offers small dimples for additional protection. All around the neoprene case is pretty well padded. Dare we say, this appears to be the most droppable iPad case we’ve seen. A final nice touch is the rubber coated zippers. www.hardcandycases.com
