I am replacing my very old PC from 1998. I decided to go with Mac. I use the computer for my photos, and a small photo business, email, documents, but not for my day job. I intend to use it primarily for documents, writing a blog, and maybe in the future a start-up business.
Would you recommend a desktop or laptop?

I’m planning to buy one of these. Considering only the latest and highest-end versions of each, which one would you recommend? I want a balance between power and portability, with power predominating. I think MBPs and Minis are portable, while the iMacs are not. However, the power gap between the giant iMac and MBP makes me feel MBPs and Minis are inferior to iMac? I also heard iMacs are gonna be discontinued, so I am worried. What is your opinion?

I am a graphic designer. I’d like to buy a whole new computer set up. I’d also like to save space in our tiny apartment. Should I invest in a desktop and a laptop or is a laptop and a large display enough?

I just bought a black macbook for college and then my parents bought me a imac along with it. The only reason why I have both laptop and desktop is because I will be living two hours away from home. Plus I like the desktops much better. Those are kind of dumb reasons to have both but that’s the truth. But anyway, what kinds of printers and scanners go well with a mac? They don’t have to be small either because I’m not living in the dorms because I just got an apartment. I also got a bunch of scholorships and a student loan so moneys not a problem. Thanks for the help!

Product Description
Use this cable adapter to connect your Mac with a Mini DisplayPort video output port to an external monitor, TV, projector or other display device with HDMI input. Plug the Mini DisplayPort end into your Mac, and connect the HDMI end to an HDMI (male to male) cable, then plug the cable into your HDMI input input jack. ** PLEASE NOTE: The Mini DisplayPort is only found on newer models of Macs – You MUST check what port type you have before purchase. **
Helpful Notes: This device is intended to function more as an adapter than as a cable, meaning its short length WILL NOT reach from your Mac to the monitor. It will need to be used with an HDMI cable (sold separately).
Highest resolution supported: 1080p.
