Looking for the best way to take a mpeg-4 movie file and convert it into the proper iPad compatible format. I noticed that, at one time I could use hanbrake to convert a dvd movie to a format that would allow me to transfer it into itunes, and then to my ipod, but then one day after updating the software, at that point it would not transfer those same movies over to my iPod. I am wondering what the best way to do this with the iPad.

If I have a 16gb ipad or whatever other device, how much storage is taken up by the average movie, or how many “average” flicks can be stored on a 16gb device? Thanks
